the world of doughnuts

i thought i should get acquainted with the food world. i am not much of a fan of baking and cooking, but i am definitely a very big eater, though i am not very specific with the taste or anything.

but i was crazy about dougnuts, and maybe i can make you drool with this post.

oh yes, i am an indonesian, and i am very fortunate to be surrounded by dunkin' donuts, j.Co donuts&coffee and the most famous krispy kreme doughnuts.


















i think krispy kreme has the best doughnuts around because it is the softest and now with Gen-B (less sugar) donuts, the sweetness is perfect. but till now, i havent found the right flavour that i truly love except for the glazy original one. and i love their coffee, i think they have the best coffee among the dougnuts outlets. indonesians dont really go for krispy kreme because it is much more expensive than j.Co.

j.Co has the second best doughnuts around, but mostly due to the al capone (almond), tira-miss-u and the original. their dougnuts are slightly harder, but otherwise it is totally fine. but their coffee is a bit too sweet and dense that one finds it hard to finish a whole cup. but albeit all these, it has the highest number of outlets as well as crowds here.

dunkin' donuts. i think everyone hears and knows about it. it has the most range of variety, from strawberry to chocolate, from cheese to nuts, from durian to coconut, from mocha to green tea, you name it. but the doughnuts dont taste as wonderful, maybe because it is much too dense and hence harder; or maybe people just get too used to eating their dougnuts. but albeit the slightly harder doughnuts they have, their popularity among indonesians is still amazing.

and well, i used not to complain too much about eating dougnuts from neighbourhood bakeries, but after eating dougnuts from these 3 outlets, i cant resist the temptation anymore.

i had the chance to eat a piece of dougnut from the Donut Factory (Singapore). it definitely isnt a match to krispy kreme. and their doughnuts are definitely as hard as dunkin donuts. but maybe i was wrong, maybe its just that particular one.

so if you have eaten dougnuts from the Donut Factory, imagine that Krispy Kreme's are a thousand times better than that.

this is one entry Krispy Kreme must pay me for. i m definitely advertising for them.
